“With five ordering days in total, including the SHOWROOM CONCEPT, Gallery FASHION at the Areal Böhler went very well. Like in previous years, the flow of visitors was steady; and the Sunday was even noticeably busier. There was a lot of praise for the well-considered positioning of the brands’ booths within the ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’. For the SHOWROOM CONCEPT area, we have already received requests from big new agencies for the July 2020 edition and see a lot of further expansion potential here.”

With a steady flow of visitors in addition to “positive feedback and a lot of orders placed”, an extremely satisfied Ulrike Kähler, Project Director of Gallery FASHION and Gallery SHOES, is ending the season on a high note. “The constantly developing line-up of side events featuring partners like Style in Progress, TM Textilmitteilungen, Fashion Trend Pool, Scalerion, Fashion Cloud, NRW.International and the VDMD underline the importance of our independent platform at the Areal Böhler during Düsseldorf’s CPD Order Days.”

 

And the exhibitors agree: “We decided to take part in Gallery FASHION at short notice. This was our first time here and we’re very happy with how it all went. A fantastic atmosphere and first-class organisation. We’ll definitely be back,” sums up Thomas Barth, Managing Director of CONCRETE SHOWROOMS, who represented brands like DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSEN and LAMARQUE in the SHOWROOM CONCEPT area. Lars Fischer, owner of Moderraum Fischer, had the following to say about the SHOWROOM CONCEPT: “We’ve been taking part since the very first time. The show is always a success for us! In my opinion, Gallery FASHION is the most important tradeshow platform.”

 

The exhibitors in the ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’ were also full of positive feedback: “Year after year, the competent and professional organisation of Gallery FASHION makes it the perfect place for us to present our new collection to customers,” says Christian Koehlert, Managing Director of CHRISTIAN KOEHLERT PARIS from the Evening & Occasion area. As well as Evening & Occasion, the ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’ are also home to design, accessory and jewellery brands. Jewellery and object designer Anemone Tontsch, GALERIE CEBRA, is impressed: “This is now the third time that I’ve successfully exhibited at Gallery FASHION. The atmosphere and the location are very nice… All in all, an extremely enjoyable experience! And the combination of fashion, shoes and jewellery really suits me down to the ground. The overall level is very high. It was great and I would love to come back!”

 

Representing the hat business, which has found a new home at Gallery FASHION, Andreas Voigtländer, First Chairman of the German Hat Association GDH e.V., agrees: “We are very happy that the hat industry gets together in concentrated form here – with even more exhibitors than in the previous year. That fits in with the positive trend in hat retail, which is seeing increasing sales figures for the fifth time in a row. The mood at Gallery FASHION was great and taking orders in a cool industrial setting a lot of fun.”

 

Using Gallery FASHION as a springboard into a new market is also working out well for Nasim Akhavan, designer of Iranian brand NASIM AKHAVAN, which is already available to purchase at noteworthy stores throughout Europe: “We have been preparing to establish our brand in Germany for quite some time now. After doing some research and receiving recommendations, our attention was drawn to Gallery FASHION. We were able to make some good contacts at this order and information platform and our experience was particularly positive.”
