Making stores fit for the future.
Live on stage

More than fashion! Inspiration, innovation and emotion were centrestage at the FASHN ROOMS edition held from 23 – 25 July in Düsseldorf. At the trendy Areal Böhler venue fashion became palpable. To the tune of 400 renowned brands from the women’s and men’s wear segments as well as suppliers of complementary products like shoes and high-quality accessories presented their latest collections for Spring/Summer 2023. The order platform confirmed its standard: beyond FASHN ROOMS as such, the Showroom Concept was used to place orders in a pleasant atmosphere at previously made appointments as early as Thursday and Friday.

Focus on sustainability. In the newly installed “GREEN ROOM” area sustainability as a socially relevant theme was incorporated into the event in the form of a Concept Store. Designed as a holistic concept comprising store fitting, fashion and accessories GREEN ROOM serves as a blueprint for retailers to cover the important theme of sustainability in their stores in a modern and attractive manner. Tanja Kliewe-Meyer, Founder & CEO of Store 13, explains the content of the store sharing concept: “We supply many fresh ideas and exciting impulses. Beyond the sustainable products proper we bank on art and events that generate footfall at the POS.” “Now it is up to retailers to pick up these ideas and put them into practice,” adds Igedo Company Managing Director Ulrike Kähler, and goes on to explain: “With our GREEN ROOM we are on the right track. The concept is still a small plant that needs to be watered to grow and flourish. Now the next step is, of course, to move to take the right measures to bring the GREEN ROOM increasingly to the attention of both exhibitors and visitors.”

Good mix. Short distances. Best service. FASHN ROOMS convinced visitors with its good mix of individual, high-quality brands and short distances. Heiko Wunder of wunderwerk, Düsseldorf, summed it up: “FASHN ROOMS at Areal Böhler are living proof that trade shows – big or small – do work. Perfect organisation by the organisers, good communication and an exciting brand mix – never fail to attract people. Even more people would definitely visit FASHN ROOMS if they allowed for a little more time to do so.

DFD Festival Edition Show wunderwerk

The pressure to visit all the brands at their Showrooms is simply too high. As the wunderwerk brand we would love to see the continuation and expansion of FASHN ROOMS and of accompanying activities such as the ‘Fashion Show an der Kö’.”

Fashion live on Stage. The masterminds behind the Igedo Company once more gave proof of their fashion expertise at the debut of the B2C Fashion Shows in Düsseldorf’s city centre. These shows were initiated by the Düsseldorf Economic Promotion Office to mark the Düsseldorf Fashion Days Festival Edition. Seven brands including Marc Cain and wunderwerk, to name but two, presented the latest trends live on stage to a thrilled audience. “It is this mixture of trade show, Showrooms and accompanying activities that makes Düsseldorf a success. Fashion belongs to Düsseldorf,” says Ulrike Kähler in conclusion.
